INCTBIO² TRANSLATIONAL BIODISCOVERY AND BIOMODELS
The INCTBio² Translational Biodiscovery and Biomodels project focuses on the development of innovative platforms in translational oncology.
The INCTBio² Translational Biodiscovery and Biomodels project focuses on comparative oncology, using canids, PDX models derived from human tumors, humanized PDX models, and genetically edited oncopigs, integrating advanced technologies including CRISPR/Cas9, organoids, epigenetics, structural biology, nanotechnology, bioactive molecule screening, and artificial intelligence.
General objective
To identify new drugs with anticancer potential and establish a platform of advanced and integrated biomodels to evaluate, validate, and determine the efficacy and safety of new cancer treatments, including innovative drugs, biosimilars, and drug repurposing.
Mission
To develop, validate, and integrate highly complex oncological biomodels to accelerate the discovery of innovative drugs and biopharmaceuticals, strengthen precision medicine in Brazil, and promote the transfer of technologies to the productive sector, with scientific excellence, social responsibility, and impact on health.
Vision
To consolidate INCTBio² as a national and international reference in translational oncology, leading in the development of biomodels, humanized biomodels, and cutting-edge technologies applied to the discovery of anticancer therapies in the context of personalized medicine.
