Research Areas of INCTBIO²
The INCTBIO² – Translational Biodiscovery and Biomodels is structured around strategic axes that integrate basic research, technological development, and translational application in oncology.
Our organizational model allows for integrated action, from the biodiscovery of bioactive molecules to validation in advanced biomodels and precision medicine strategies.
Axis 1 – Biodiscovery and Molecule Bank
Focused on prospecting, isolating, characterizing, and screening bioactive compounds originating from Brazilian biodiversity and strategic chemical libraries.
Axis 2 – Translational Biomodels
Development and application of advanced experimental models for preclinical validation of anticancer therapies.
Axis 3 – Omics Platforms and Precision Medicine
Integration of large-scale technologies for molecular understanding of tumors and identification of biomarkers.
Axis 4 – Human Resource Development, Innovation, Transfer and Impact on Health
Focused on applying the knowledge generated to drive technological innovation and strengthen the Economic-Industrial Complex of Health, for the benefit of the SUS (Brazilian Public Health System).
